Each route moves forward along real roads, with no doubling back, and is matched to the coast that is dry in your travel months. Open one in the planner and change anything.

Plan a private Sri Lanka tour that fits the season: choose where you sleep, add treks, safaris and beaches, then send us your route and we will reply with the day-by-day plan and hotels.
Sri Lanka's two coasts have opposite weather. From May to September the east coast (Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Pasikudah, Arugam Bay) and the Cultural Triangle are dry, with calm water at Pigeon Island, surf at Arugam Bay and the Minneriya elephant gathering (July–October, peak August–September). From November to April the south coast (Mirissa, Weligama, Galle) is calm for swimming and whale watching, and Yala is at its best for leopards. Yala Block 1 usually closes for several weeks from around September (dates are announced each year). The Knuckles range is wettest from October to January, so we plan treks around the weather.
What is the difference between a base and a sight?
A base is the hotel or camp where you sleep, such as Kandy, Ella, Sigiriya or Arugam Bay. Sights are what you do: the Temple of the Tooth, Nine Arch Bridge, a Knuckles trek or an Udawalawe safari. You visit a sight either on the drive between two bases or as a short trip out from your base and back.
Do the routes double back across the island?
No. Each ready-made route moves forward along real roads. Dambulla and Aluviharaya are visited on the Sigiriya–Kandy drive, Peradeniya on the way into Kandy, and Polonnaruwa together with the Minneriya safari. The only return legs are the drive back to the airport from the east coast.
What is included with the private driver?
Every multi-day route includes a private air-conditioned vehicle (sedan or high-roof van) with a licensed English-speaking chauffeur-guide. Fuel, expressway tolls and the driver's lodging and meals are included, with unlimited mileage. You can stop at viewpoints, spice gardens or fruit stalls along the way.
How do entrance tickets and safari permits work?
You buy tickets for UNESCO sites (Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Temple of the Tooth) and Department of Wildlife Conservation safari permits at the official counters, with no agency markup. Your guide helps with queues, jeeps and permits on the day.
Can I add a Knuckles trek or camp to a custom route?
Yes. We are based in Kandy and can add a full-day Knuckles cloud-forest trek or a wilderness camping stay deep in the Knuckles mountain range to any route. All treks are led by certified mountain guides.
